Brief Summary of the Plot from Goodreads: Anonymous break up stories from men and women, old and young, serious and silly and the cartoons that inspired them. Author and artist Hilary Campbell turns the painful into the hilarious, validating emotions from forgotten middle school tragedies to relationships that ended only hours ago.

My Review: I have mixed feelings about this graphic novel — but maybe that is the point! Some stories were funny. Other stories were just okay…but I found myself thinking in both cases, OMG did that really happen to you / did you really do that!?

If you are looking for a short, fast, cute, and funny read, I would suggest this book.

  1. I’ve never heard of this book before, I’m not generally a big graphic novel reader but I really like memoirs. It doesn’t sound like it’s a masterpiece or anything, but if I see it at one of my local libraries I might give it a shot. Even if I don’t like it at least it’s a quick read. đŸ™‚

    • Thanks for your comment! I’m also usually not a graphic novel reader, but I have read a few over the past few days. 2 others to check out are Business Cat and Croquette and Empanda. I have also posted reviews about these on my site.

    • As for memoirs, you should check out Educated by Tara Westover if you haven’t already read it. It is about her life growing up in a traditional mormon family with a survivalist father. I found it to be disturbing at times, and the story has really stayed with me.
